The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hancock County is a youth development organization providing a positive environment which seeks to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
Welcome to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hancock County. We are pleased to have you as part of our BGCHC family and look forward to an awesome year with you and your child(ren). The Year of Promise is simply set up to highlight that fact that we promise to give everything we have in educating, supporting and developing are youth who are members of the BGCHC.
Our Leadership Team consists of our Executive Director, Chad Hudson and our Unit Director, Candace Sexton. Both are natives of Greenfield and have many positive connections within our community and welcome ideas to further the development of our youth here at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hancock County. Both are happy to meet with you at any time as our doors are always open!
As Executive Director, Chad will be out spreading the word about our organization and gaining partnerships beyond our walls and throughout our community. He has an office at the Jim Andrews Unit, but will not always be at the Club to assist you. Candace, however, will be available by appointment so please don’t hesitate to contact her. Miss Candace runs the Jim Andrews Unit as our Unit Director and is an excellent resource for our families. She is our expert in programming and is by far the “biggest kid” in the building! She will get to know your child(ren) and understand each of the as a unique individual. She and her staff do a phenomenal job allowing our members to learn, grow and develop in a fun, positive and safe environment.
A few items to highlight:
Hours of Operation: The Jim Andrews Unit at 715 E. Lincoln Street in Greenfield closes at 6:30pm every weekday. All youth must be picked up by then in order to avoid a late pick up fee. (See Miss Candace in regards to our “Safe Child Policy”)
Membership: All youth and teens MUST be annual members with the BGCHC in order to participate in any part of the club set up. NO exceptions!
Transportation: Youth in all Greenfield Central schools may be picked up daily up by BGCHC vans. Please note: Eden Elementary students will be picked up at Maxwell Intermediate School.
